Hey Yelpers!
I've usually spent New Year's Eve at my parents' house in WA state (lame, I know), but this year my friends and I want to stay in Boston and paint the town red. Now, some of my friends are under the impression that we can just go out that night and hit the bars, but I'd like to have a plan so we're not toasting the new year freezing in line at some random club or bar. I've heard about the Boston Young Professionals New Year's bash, but I think it's a bit pricey for us. Any other ideas?

Roxy is suppose to be good. My friend is the house DJ on Saturdays, so I am influenced in that way. If you like house music and the club scene, this is a good way to go. The website is www.roxyplex.com.

I went to the Resolution ball two years ago and we ended up leaving after an hour it was soooo bad. A room full of single women in someone's bridemaids dress. So not worth the cost, we had a better time at the bar at the Ritz.

EWWW don't go to the Resolution Ball. I went when I first moved to Boston. It's sooooo baaad. People were hammered and dancing like they were at a Frat party in this amazingly beautiful ballroom. Drinks splashing everywhere, heels sicking to the floor, drink line so long you might as well not bother. Save the money, this "ball" is skeevy.
