Try Diana's Nail and Spa at 175 North Franklin (www.DianaNailSpa.com) and ask for Diana. She is a professional for brazilians and it's for a decent price.

UrbanShe's top gals moved to Cleise Brazilian Day Spa!  1841 N. Sheffield in Lincoln Park.  Great find that does QUALITY service!  Check out my review on Yelp.

Thanks, Jess - actually - I've gone to Cleise and they do an amazing job but I also go to Daniela's which is smaller and more low key and she does an equally amazing job for half the price.

There is a FABULOUS website called www.ChicagoBeauty.com, that has a just a ton of high-end spas, salons, medical spas, and health/wellness (yoga, health clubs) Chicago destinations represented.  
They even have menus of each location's services, a review, and incentives such as 20% off.
Many of the places mentioned by other Yelpers on the site too!
I come here for all of my beauty service and beauty product information!
They also have a national site, www.PrettyCity.com, if you have any friends in other cities.

This totally doesn't answer Dee's question (sorry!), but going off Tiffany's comment about PrettyCity--there's a "LoveYou" promotion coming up from 1/15 - 2/15/07 where you can get $59 deals on all sorts of spa services from brazilians to haircuts to massages to eyelash extensions, etc.   If you sign up for their e-newsletter, you should get The List of participating salons/spas and what they're offering for 59 buckaroos.  Craziness!
