"I left to walk up to Lincoln to get food about 2pm...and a guy ripped my purse off my arm! It had my camera, phone, wallet, keys, everything. I chased him across Admiralty Way, cars slamming on their brakes......I almost caught him in the park on the other side. He pitched the purse and all the contents and went over a wall into a gated community. The sheriff has a helicopter looking for him. LAPD would not let me climb the wall to go after him. I was pissed! So I got a free cup of coffee from the hotel in return for filling in their security people. I out ran a 25-something-year-old!!!! Yipppeeeee!"

That is the best story ever.....now Mz Joan I need to tell you all about the dangers of chasing theses types in your part of town. BANG BANG shot DEAD.

I'm glad you're all right but jeeze you took a great risk there.

Greg, in my bag was:  my camera, phone, checkbook, wallet with credit cards, lot of cash....
I didn't take the time to put it in the hotel room safe.  It was about 2pm when this happened, in front of the MdR fire station!  The mugger was a druggie.
Because it was a strong arm robery, the Sheriff sent up a helicopter to look for the guy!  they never caught him.   I drive past that area frequently, and if I see the guy again he will not get away.  hehe

I went to Irma Thomas's bar to see her. She cooked red beans and rice for the audience before her set. Saw Ray Charles in an audience of 50 and cried, literally, it was so beautiful.
