Chris K. says:
Since I've noticed that our brethren in L.A., NYC and San Francisco meet up once in a while, I'm wondering if the SD Yelpers get together. I'm all for it if no one's initiated it..........

i just joined yelp about 2 weeks ago. i can't believe i didn't hear about it earlier; found out when mercury news in san jose did an article in their food section.

Edenista M. says:
Well, It is part of the plan. We are just waiting to catch more air to organize such an event. However, people are free to meet if they so wish. In other cities, Yelp has initiated these events after a certain growth factor had been reached; and that's what some of us are galvanizing in order for it to happen.

Kinsee M. says:
I think we should throw an unofficial yelp club night once a month.
09/12/2006
Chris K. says:
I think Kinsee has a great idea. I'm all for it if you all are. I'm glad the SF gathering went well for Andrew.

count me in for a san diego yelp-meet!

David J. says:
Will it be hard to decide where to go or is this a moderator decision?
And then the food place afterwards... I know this would be difficult.

Nathan "Big Daddy Nate Dizzle" H. says:
Lets do it. I will set it up...it will be an "unofficial" Yelp Meet Up/Happy Hour. I will create a talk conversation for it and we'll see what we can get.
09/13/2006
Chris K. says:
I agree with David. It will be hard to choose a place to eat. But it seems we all have broad and eclectic tastes so I'm sure we can figure out something.
Sounds like Nathan is our plan man. Just make sure it's after September 22. I'll be on vacation until then.

Mike L. says:
Yeah, c'mon Andrew, let's not be a downer on this. I think a lot of OC people can mesh with SD to form a good core. Give it some TLC and you'll never know on how fast it'll grow.

Kinsee M. says:
I'll be at the Ratatat show at the Casbah this Sunday (Sept. 24). We could pretend it's a yelp meet-up. I'll wear a basket on my head...that way you'll know who I am. In fact, I think all yelpsters should wear a basket on their heads. Whether its a meet-up or not.

Ken A. says:
yes, vicky L, i was going to ask if this was an homage to crazy vincent (project runway)!

Eric S. says:
Hey San Diego folks. I'm in town next week(sept.25-28) for a tradeshow. Can you suggest good, expense account-type resto's in the area? I'm already booked at Flemings for 2 nights, but what other worthwhile resto's would you take a client to, in the Gaslight, Petco Field area?

L a r i s a H. says:
But, seriously... We are all San Diego people that are using Yelp, so it's likely that there are others like us out there...We just need to tell them about it.
Now back to a meetup, keep an eye out for Nathan's post, hit the Casbah this weekend and look for Kinsee's stylish head basket, or throw out your own idea.

the opportunity in every difficulty. "

Andrew G.
I hate to turn this into a food fight, but what is your deal?
Are you the most unhappy nomadic Californian ever? Do you love clutching a dictionary while browsing (un)social sites online? Do you have friends? Do you enjoy the darkness?
Quite pathetic and lame; sad really.
Neat cell phone camera pics though. I bet they eat those up over at Eharmony.
What a waste.

Hey, congratulations to Andrew for going to college and actually graduating! What an incredibly rare and astonishing feat! I'm humbled by your superiority.
P.S. I still say buzzkill is one word and oh so accurate. But I don't have the proper credentials to use a dictionary, so what do I know?
